It was revised in 2013 and is now known as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET).

Course Content:
The ProQual Level Three Award in Education and Training covers a range of essential topics, including:
– Understanding and using the principles of teaching and learning
– Planning and delivering inclusive and engaging learning sessions
– Assessing learners’ achievements and providing constructive feedback
– Reflecting on your practice to enhance teaching effectiveness
How you are assessed:
The first element is assessed by completing a written workbook, where the candidate describes the processes and activities required during all phases of teaching and training, in line with the qualification framework.
The second assessed element is in the form of a 20 minute ‘micro teach’ session, which you develop, build and deliver to the class on day three of the course.
NOTE: There is a requirement to complete written work and PowerPoint presentations for the assessment of this qualification. Access to a computer or compatible tablet, along with good proficiency in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite.

The qualification provides you with the essential skills to plan and deliver engaging learning sessions to adults in any of these environments.
The face-to-face course is delivered over three days in a classroom setting with an experienced instructor leading the learning. This course can be attended online from your location, with our live expert trainer-led virtual classroom. This qualification can also be brought in house to your location, where the trainer delivery is tailored and moulded to your organisational needs and setting.
This training takes three days to complete. In-house training can be split across a period of time to facilitate operational needs on a ‘day release’ plan. Contact us for more information on this.

Upon successful completion of the course and all assessments, you will receive the EQF level 3, Ofqual certified, Level Three Certificate in Teaching and training from ProQual, which is accredited and recognised across vocational sectors.
There are no formal entry requirements. An English verbal and writing proficiency, to allow you to discuss and write content related to the learning outcomes and your work activities.

There is no mandatory renewal period for the Level 3 AET course. However, it is recommended to stay updated with the latest teaching and training practices and attend refresher courses and/or seminars periodically to refresh your CPD’s.
